Description

Speedbroker are honoured to present this wonderful Aston Martin DB5 finished in Sierra Blue with Black Connolly leather interior, which also boasts stunning chrome wheels and heated rear screen. The Aston Martin DB5 is arguably one of the most iconic vehicles of all time with it's unforgettable appearance in the James Bond film Goldfinger, and provides it's custodians with an exceptional high performance, luxurious driving experience.
With only 887 DB5 Saloons ever made, this model was produced from 1963 to 1965, with the all-aluminium bodywork being designed by Italian coachbuilder Superleggera.
Originally supplied by Eton Motors, this beautiful vehicle has had 5 owners, with extensive history and parts invoices, including Aston Martin servicing and a pictorial record of works including an engine re-build and a re-spray in it's original colour Sierra Blue, and even comes with its original handbook. We believe the mileage is accurate. Ownership history is as follows:
- Mr B. R. Spooner of Hoar, Sanderson & Spooner Ltd, estate agents from Surrey.
- Mr C. Jennings (shown on factory build sheet)
- Mr A. G. Sykes of Andover, Hants (circa 1970 - car was maintined by owner and serviced by Aston Martin Dorset)
- Mr Wade (2006 - he lived in Hong Kong but kept the car in storage in the UK with little usage)
- Current owner - 2020 to present day
- Based on all available documentation and tracing back ownership and usage, we do believe this mileage to be genuine
The current owner acquired the car in 2020, and although up until that point the car had been used very little, and kept in storage the majority of the time by the 4th owner, it did need some remedial works which have now been carried out. These works included a major mechanical overhaul (including chassis work), rebuilding the suspension with handling kit, brake re-build, engine overhaul, and new clutch, all being fitted and supplied by specialists such as Trinity Engineering and RS Williams. In addition to this the car has had new carpeting and a complete re-trim its original black leather. ERX 99C has just undergone a thorough inspection, some aesthetic improvements, mechanical refinements and paint correction at a highly respected restorer and is ready for a new custodian to start the next chapter in its story.
This is a truly beautiful example of a quintessential classic and bearing in mind the vehicle's provenance, highly desirable colour combination and extensive documented history and ownership, makes this vehicle a worthy addition to a discerning collector.
