Description
At the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1987, BMW unveiled a major update to the E30 which often called the Series 2. The range was modified with the addition of the Touring (estate) version and the 325e model. The updated models remained mainly unchanged until the end of the production run.
The Touring body was introduced in 1984 by BMW engineer Max Reisböck in a friend's garage and production started in 1987. The BMW 324td is the E30 BMW 3 Series with diesel engine
top-of-the-range diesel version. The 324td presented here is a sedan only
and Touring (estate) body styles, and was powered by BMW's M21D24 engine, which
a 113bhp turbocharged 2. 4-litre straight-six diesel power unit. In addition to the turbo engine, the 324td also received a sports suspension, making it sportier than its naturally aspirated version. Production of the model continued until 1991.
This example is in very good mechanical condition, and almost immaculate from the outside too. As you can see on the pictures, there is no rust to be found which is very rare with these cars especially at this age. A profitable investment, as the E30 prices are rising steadily.
