Description
The models of the 2600 series from Alfa Romeo were upper class in Italy. Vehicles with an engine capacity of more than 2 litres were taxed particularly heavily. As successor of the four-cylinder Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider, which was considered too weak, the Alfa Romeo Spider 2600 with 145 hp now guaranteed a lot of driving pleasure. The beautiful body came from Carozzeria Touring, but the company closed its doors in 1968. This marked the end of this series after only 2, 555 Spiders had been produced. Today, the Alfa Romeo 2600 is an insider tip: classic bodywork, performance, comfort and space, plus a rarely seen convertible.
Our Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider Cabriolet was delivered in France. The classic car was in use there until the mid-1980s. Then it was to be restored in Germany, but the work was delayed. So in 2012, the sports car was completely disassembled and rebuilt. This is documented. It has been registered in Germany since 2017. Wonderful rides were the reward for the effort. An Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider is the fine way to travel in a classic car.
