TURBO ONE, not to be confused with the later, more common TURBO TWO. We believe this could possibly be the only one in the UK ....? (Please correct me if you know of others).
This 1983 City Turbo One was Imported in 1985, fully UK registered with an old style UK logbook present with 0 previous owners recorded. One keeper from new, and low (original) miles showing, it was only used for a few years before being tucked away in dry storage in the early 1990's.
Its a rock solid example, its never been welded.
The car is all complete, and in 'time-warp' condition, with all original interior in very good condition, may just need a hoover or dust from storage. The boot floor and wheel well are in sound original condition. The engine bay is all in very presentable order.
Recently its had a fresh coat of paint, in its original colour, which really brings the car to life in my opinion.
The local classic car garage have recently given the car a thorough go-over, and done whatever was needed mechanically speaking to get the car running and driving again after its years of hibernation; So all fuel system undergone re-commissioning, with new pump, lines, cleaned and sealed tank, service items replaced etc.
The City now starts first turn of the key, it seems super reliable and starts, runs, idles and drives as it should.
Everything seems to be working and in good order. The only bits that stand out as needing attention, are a small hole in the exhaust that needs a repair, and the brakes will require going over, with new fluid or pads etc.
There is a small crack in the front windscreen, which doesn't affect visibility in the slightest, and will not affect an MOT at all, it hasn't worried me as its small and the screen can easily be changed if the new owner wishes.
I am happy to finish these jobs (brakes/ exhaust etc), and supply it with a fresh 12month MOT ticket for the new owner if asking price is met. Or its a nice weekends work for them if they wish to get the City sorted and finished off themselves.
Will be gutted to see this go, but don't have the time to enjoy it, it seems a shame for me to 'moth-ball' it in storage as needs to be enjoyed and driven.
