The Appeal
The seventies were a turning point for motorcycle manufactures, evolving from the post war and café racer era by harnessing new technologies gave for much more refined machines. Moto Morini certainly saw this opportunity and capitalised by producing their 350cc V-Twin. The 350 was offered in two versions, Strada or Sport with the latter offering a slightly higher power output.
When released, the 350 had a range of technologically advanced components, with a focus on the mechanics, owners would benefit from a one-piece forged steel crankshaft, heron heads and carburettors by none other than Del'Orto. Conveniently, later models were also fitted with electronic ignition. Moto Morini also understood the importance of good suspension, boasting Marzocchi forks up front and twin rear shocks.
All of this meant that while the 350 came with a hefty price tag, it was a very competent bike for the time that gained many fans throughout the years!

Summary
Moto Morini were ahead of the game when releasing the 350 V-Twin. While earlier models may have had some reliability issues, thankfully this is a later example as per the VIN number. The current owner purchased this lovely example from the Netherlands and reportedly recommissioned it shortly after.
Although it has not run in some time, this 350 remains in very good condition overall and has evidently been cherished by the current owner. If you are on the lookout for a classic lightweight Italian V-Twin, then this Moto Morini is certainly an example well worth considering!
