Description

1925 Bugatti T23 Brescia One of only five Type 23 vehicles shipped from Molsheim to the famous London agent Chas. Jarrot & Letts Ltd. Of these five cars, numbered 2383 to 2387, only three have stood the test of time Highlights: - Registration: UK registered YL 9910 - Chassis number: 2386 - Engine number: 920 - Sewell and Morris report available - FIVA registration to be transferred to new owner More about this car: About this car Chassis number 2386, fitted with the iconic 16-valve engine, is one of the lucky survivors.
The car was originally delivered to the Bugatti agent in London as a chassis in 1925 and received its first registration on 11 November 1925, with the current registration number. While most of the mechanical features remain original (with the exception of the replacement of the engine block in the 1950s due to damage to the original engine), the current bodywork, which closely resembles the supposed original body, was installed in 1989. Under the bonnet: The engine of this car has been meticulously maintained and is in immaculate condition, a testament to the care and attention it has received. Extensive work has been carried out, including a top end rebuild and the installation of a new cylinder block. Brand specialist Ivan Dutton rebuilt the lower engine separately, ensuring its reliability and performance. Other notable modifications include the replacement of the radiator by Anglia Radiators and the conversion of the wet clutch to a dry clutch, while retaining the original parts with the car to showcase the precision of the restoration. Great fun: This beautiful little car drives surprisingly fast and will provide plenty of family fun with its four-seat body. Well documented: The car is accompanied by a comprehensive history file, which includes a Sewell report and detailed restoration documentation. In addition, the file contains extensive correspondence from previous owners, which provides valuable information about the car's history. The car also comes with an expired FIVA passport with an A3 classification. Importantly, there are substantial invoices from Gentry Restorations dating back to 2014, demonstrating the significant investment made to restore and maintain the car to its current exceptional condition.
