Description
1930 Ford Model A Tudor, Older restoration, in very smart conditionRuns very nicely and has been completely reliable during my ownership. High performance head fitted 3 years ago, with valves re seated, fresh head and inlet gaskets at the same time. 12v alternator. Starts well. Excellent paint work, and much admired wherever we go. Good chromework. Radiator guard. LHD ( Canadian car)Spare Original head, 2 extra freshly painted wheels, other spares. Collection of Model A books and manuals.‘Ernie’ had a complete restoration in Canada during the 90’s. Was used regularly, and won ‘Best Car’ at a large classic car show. He was imported to an Irish museum. Following some mostly static years he was purchased by a key member of the UK Model A club, then he had an owner in the Home Counties who did various events , before moving up to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland. I bought him from there following a tip from the Model A club that he was coming up for sale. On purchase we found that Ernie was not at his best, running weak, and a leaking inlet gasget was diagnosed. Whilst this was being done, we decided to do the valves, and then have the medium high performance head fitted at the same time. Since then Ernie has run faultlessly, I have used him locally, done a few local events, and four 150 mile road tours run by Midlands Automobile Club, including non timed runs up Shelsley Walsh hill climb track. Ernie performed faultlessly . My daughter is off to University in September, and I am selling my business too. So, will lose my lovely dry storage facility, Reluctantly Ernie needs a new home.
