Is this the cheapest E Type Roadster in the UK on Car and Classic?? I think so. The price is ONO, of course. No, it is not a US car, no, it hasn't been fitted with a V8, no, it is not a Challenger replica and no, it is not an ex-coupe or a project hiding a multitude of issues (any defects are visible).
Instead this car is a genuine UK supplied V12 Roadster with a Heritage Certificate and a folder full of history. It has been in (my) long term ownership, has been well maintained, driven long distances regularly and is offered for sale by a genuine Private seller who has owned the car for the last 25 years and whose father owned the car in the late 1970's.
Reputedly first owned by Dickie Davies (with registration number RD 57) and then my father from around 1977. Sold in 1981 and bought back in 2000.

Summary:
Mechanically tip top. Great oil pressure, keeps cool etc. Will drive anywhere and drive well.
Interior and hood excellent (Aldridge Trimming).
Paintwork suffering, micro blisters, rust bubbles and some welding required to lower rear quarters. Last bare metal paint mid 1990’s. Not a rotten car.
Drives very well. Trips to Le Mans, Goodwood etc in last few years. In frequent use. Just done Prescott hill climb school in it last week.
Top end engine rebuild by Ric Wood.
Gearbox rebuilt.
Gaz adjustable shocks, new springs, poly bushes.
Radtec aluminium radiator, fans, header tank.
Ignition modification.
Braided brake hoses, Green stuff pads etc.
New engine mounts, heater box and lots more in last couple years.
Recent Blockley Radials all round.
