I have for sale my 1979 Honda XLs in red. This motorcycle has been the subject of a ground up restoration over the last 18 months or so and is in excellent condition. Much work has been carried out and many new parts fitted.
Prior to my purchase the engine had a full top end rebuild including timing chain and new piston. It is whisper quiet and runs perfectly and is not yet fully run in. Transmission is slick and works perfectly. Stainless Steel Exhaust fitted.
The bike has been totally stripped.
The frame has been blasted and powder coated.
The wheels have been powder coated and professionally rebuilt with Stainless Steel spokes.
This bike has the original 23" front wheel.
New tubes and tires fitted. New Wheel Bearings & Seals.
New Main Wiring loom fitted and most of the other wiring replaced.
New Switches.
New Sprockets and chain.
New Rear Shock Absorbers.
Front shock absorbers stripped, cleaned, new seals fitted.
Steering head bearings replaced with Taper Roller Bearings.
Brakes completely overhauled with new springs and linings.
Brake and clutch cable renewed.
Seat recovered.
New Grips and levers.
New Headlight and cowl assembly.
New Tail light assembly.
LED Indicator lights added.
Stainless Steel hardware used wherever possible.
All the original parts removed from the bike have been retained and will be included in the sale.
This has to be one of the best available anywhere.
