I have had this car since 2007. It has been on the road and used every year since. It is garaged in a Carcoon within a secure storage location. Other than an annual service and tyres I have had the following work done:
- head renovated and serviced by Jim Stokes Workshops.
- exhaust system replaced with new stainless steel version
- front brake callipers replaced with new and new pipes.
- radiator and associated pipes and hoses replaced with new.
- fuel tank cleaned and pump replaced.
It is in Good condition. Looks beautiful but on close inspection shows wear commensurate with such a car being regularly used. Everything is there. Annual upkeep and some repair work will continue to enhance ownership and investment. On the short term it would benefit from new carpets, a dashboard freshen and a rear window replacement. On the longer term the engine might need new rings, the paintwork is a little tired on close inspection and there are some flecks of rust on parts of the chrome. This car is a delight to drive. A lopping feel supported by a torque delivering straight six engine and wide ratio 4 speed gearbox. Handling is comfortable and firm. The boot is spacious. The seats are generous. Being an ample four seater this enables a very social journey. It is quite the journey with the roof down. I have the original Owners manual and full Workshop manual as well as ownership records, mot disks and so on going back to 1963.
