It runs beautifully and requires absolutely nothing. Ordered by a renowned Magistrate of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office in 1991 this car was a special order from Buchloe, in the Ostallgäu district of Bavaria, Germany.
Back 1991 Alpina was not present as Car Manufacturer in Italy, therefore the car was purchased as a "special order" thru a BMW dealiership.
This Alpina B10 Biturbo is number 345 of 507 produced and the only one "officially" imported and registerd in Italy (confirmed by the Alpina register).
The car was ordered according to the magistrate's criteria of understatement, that is, to look as much as possible like a normal E34 5 series.
Therefore ordered without a rear wing, without adhesive stripes and without interior wood finishes, once it arrived in Italy the same Magistrate proceeded to replace all the Alpina logos with BMW ones, replace the gear knob with a normal Momo and install 4 normal 17" multispoke E34 535 rims.
And in this state it remained until 2014 when the current (and second in total) owner purchasing the car wanted to reinstall the original rims, the Alpina logos on the steering wheel and the original gear knob that the first owner securely had kept for all those years.
For those who prefer to have it with the original stripes and the front and rear badges, they still are available for purchase at Alpina classic spare parts.
