Description
2005 Alfa Romeo 147 GTA - A Cherished Classic
After 19+ years of cherished ownership, I am reluctantly parting with my fantastic 147 GTA due to the arrival of a Giulia. If I had the space, this appreciating classic would undoubtedly stay in my collection!
This is one of the very last UK-registered 147 GTAs, built on 12/ 09/ 2005 and registered on 07/ 11/ 2005. Registered with ‘Registro Club GTA’ No. 0429 and has been nothing short of a joy to drive, own, and maintain.
Specification & Features
This high-spec GTA comes with a range of factory optional extras, including:
• 18” ‘Jet-Fin’ alloy wheels
• Comfort Pack
• Nero Leather Montecarlo seat & door card inserts
• 10-disc CD Changer
• Ultra-rare CONNECT Nav+ system, featuring radio, CD, dual-band hands-free phone, and voice control
• Essential Q2 differential upgrade fitted
Ownership & Maintenance
Originally registered under my company before being transferred to my name, the V5 records three owners, though I have owned it since December 2006, purchasing it from its single previous owner. This has been a no-expense-spared daily (short-distance) driver - exactly how these cars should be kept!
Tyres: Running on 8-month-old Michelin Pilot Sport 5S tyres
Brakes: All four calipers fully refurbished by BCS with their superior finish service
Recent Work (Oct 2025):
• New clutch kit (Valeo) with slave cylinder
• New handbrake cables
• New original rear shock absorbers, coil springs, and rubber mounts
• New front brake pads
• Cambelt & Water Pump: Changed on 04/ 05/ 23 at 84, 468 miles (Alfa Workshop)
Exterior & Condition
The original paintwork remains bright and glossy, having undergone a full detail and Gtechniq Ceramic Coating application a year ago. The finish has been meticulously maintained using proper washing techniques.
The engine bay is presented in its natural condition—no unnecessary dressing up, just an honest and dry, healthy Busso V6.
In the interest of giving a true an honest description; there are a few minor age-related marks and chips, as expected for a 20-year-old car. However, the PPF wrap on the front bumper (applied years ago) has kept it in excellent condition, with just one small area showing some bubbling. The original GTA headlights could benefit from a light machine polish.
Extras & Documentation
• Full-service history with every receipt and supporting document
• All original booklets & wallet included
• Additional OEM spare parts available (including front shock absorbers)
• Some original GTA accessories, including sales brochures and GTA umbrella!
• Space-saver spare tyre complete OEM tool kit (as well as the OEM tyre-inflation kit)
A Rare Opportunity
If you're looking for a well-cared-for, original, and unmodified 147 GTA, this is the one.
With values of these cars only going up, it’s a sure investment as well as a stunning driver’s car.
MOT: Valid until 20 March 2026
Mileage: 97, 000 miles
Serious enquiries only, please.
Sensible offers considered for the additional OEM parts. At the time when I purchased this car 19 years ago it was without doubt the hottest of all the hatchbacks and the best looking. Being one of the last UK registered UK-spec GTAs makes this car special, this together with it having the very last incarnation of the world famous V6 busso engine in 3. 2 form makes it one of the last of the great V6 Alfas.
