Rare with Front and Rear Diff Lockers
Very solid bodywork with age related dents and scratches. no welding needed
This was originally a 9 seater minibus from new to transport children to the sport center , I am the second owner, imported in the UK in 2014 and dry stored from 2016 to 2020 . I then replaced the engine with a fully remanufactured 1. 9 turbodiesel ADE VW industrial engine ( same as AZZ ) . which I bought from the MoD.
An unusual choice you may think but I did not want TDt or GTI electronics involved. Mechanical Injection pump , super reliable and easy to repair and tune up ! Fully rebuild to military standards/ specifications with brand new bosch injection pump , injectors , brand new head, turbo etc etc , this engine came with wooden crate and military engine stand and dyno sheet report( crate and 1. 6 jx engine included if required ). New clutch and pilot bearing (Sachs), New exhaust, New cam belt, battery relocated under passenger seat
I then had it MOTd and use it for less than one year with the new engine covering approx 3000 miles, Dry stored since.
Good gearbox, Lockers have been tested recently, both working fine.
Good bodywork, mostly original paint, seams are very good
The mileage is 00072 ( kilometers ) when I bought it was approx 80000 , van came with no history so I suppose kilometers are 100000 or 200000
Lots of work into this van.
Back in 2014 I replaced :
front wheel bearing ( fag made in germany )
front suspension ball joints ( Meyle heavy duty germany )
tie rods and ends ( Meyle heavy duty )
front cv joint new and inner boots
front suspension bushes all
brake pads
disc brake cover plates
rear bearings SKF
rear cv joint boots x4
rear drums
handbrake cables
Syncro Side mirrors
Its fitted with 4x new Michelin tyres, VDO gauges ( oil press, oil temp, water temp )
Recent new rear wheel brake cylinders and shoes ( Meyle )
The Syncro is currently in dry storage, no MOT but I had a premot done so just few things to get sorted
Now the bad bits : the heater fan is not working , the shock absorbers are now tired and the van is a bit bouncy , the rear seats have been removed and still available but they are in Italy.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire this much loved Syncro in good conditions for age which now sadly has to go due to genuine reasons . This is a good one!, rust free and with a new 1. 9 engine fitted.
Only used on UK roads for less than 2 years
Superior Off Road capabilities with stock front and rear locker , low gear, snorkel. Jeep for breakfast and Land rovers for lunch...!
