BIMOTA DB2 - For Sale - £12, 500 ... Shes been with me for 14 years and I am just the 2nd owner in her 31 year life.... Not one for the Purists.... this ones for riding... Previous owner spent some £14, 000 on her in modifications back in 1994... including a 944cc Big bore Kit... V2 Billet Australian Hi Comp pistons... Carrillo Titanium crank rods... Gas flowed and polished head, Stage 2 cams.... Keihin FCR41 Flatslides, running on K&N cone filters, Lightened and balanced crank, and then new front yokes milled to take Paiolis finest 51mm hand milled from solid billet RWU forks (Not the same as used on the YB11)... the forks alone set him back some £1, 500 back in 1994)... And then he added some beautiful Motocorse Museo titanium end cans and Renthal Billet clip ons... I rescued her from a long lie in of 7 years some 14 years ago and recommissioned her... adding a Barnet USA billet HD clutch pack, Vented black billet clutch cover and front sprocket cover... carbon fibre cam belt covers.... New Reg Rec, and later I upgraded the headlight to a twin beam Vdue unit, added a triple set of clocks with carbon fibre surround and retro fitted an Oil temperature triple gauge cluster, new chain and sprockets, New period and model correct Brembo Cast iron rattly front discs, brembo rear disc, new front and rear period and model correct front twin 4 pot brembo calipers, rear twin pot gold series brembo caliper, new gold series brembo master brake and clutch masters, and new gold series brembo rear brake master, new wheel bearings, new white powder coating to the wheels, new needle roller bearings in the swinging arm and new fuel lines, new switchgear left and right, new grips, carbon fibre front and rear mudguards and mirrors (very rare) were flatted down and relacquered.... Later.... i had an italian cheese cylinder head stud snap on me.... so the whole bike was stripped down and 8 new Hi tensile studs at £40 each were fitted in lieu of the stainless steel versions fitted, the whole bike other than the bodywork then got a refresh... frame and swinging arm were grit blasted and re powder coated, engine repainted, crankcase covers and cylinders and heads, and all bolts were renewed with model correct "low head" allen bolts where used... I still ride her... but the miles are getting less each year... Suicide stand has been modified so it doesnt auto retract... I have all the history and MOTS going back to 1993.... receipts etc, Owners Handbook, Exploded Spare Parts manual, Service handbook and Service Manual and even the Bimota leather Key Fob... I've even replaced the "very rare" faux twin bulb rear light unit, same as used on Moto Morini 350s... the old one had a small crack in it.... Shes painted up like the motocorse SB6 from Japan.... which is showing its age with service cracks in the gel coat and a fair few nicks here and there... but... I ride her... and I'm fine with that
