This is the essence of a British sports roadster. It was aimed primarily at the U. S. market, where everyone wanted these fun toys after World War II. The MGA replaced the archaic MG TF and looked truly modern, with a freshness in its rounded shapes that remains undeniable even today. Its focus on export meant that the majority of the 101, 081 units produced between 1955 and 1962 were shipped abroad. Before the arrival of the MGB, the MGA, first with a 1. 5-liter engine and later a 1. 6-liter, was a major player in the market and a favorite tool for sporting activities on the circuits. It even managed to set some speed records!
We brought this beautiful example of a 1959 MGA all the way from Norway. It is powered by an inline four-cylinder engine with dual carburetors and a 1. 5-liter displacement, offering 80 horsepower and 118 Nm of torque at a weight of 910 kg.
The car features high-quality paintwork, though with some minor imperfections (such as scratches), and the bodywork is rust-free. Overall, it looks remarkably good for its age. It has new wheel hubcaps and a very nice (almost new) soft top. In terms of equipment, the car also includes side doors. This fully functional vehicle is ready for a new owner who wants to enjoy the classic style of a British roadster with great heritage.
