The car is equipped with the optional factory fitted Mercedes Command Unit which provides the following; Harmon Kardon seven speaker surround sound plus sub woofer, 6 disc CD player, DVD player, AUX input (allowing music streaming from a connected device), Bluetooth telephone connection and Satellite Navigation. It has the expected Mercedes options including; cruise control, speed limiter, A/ C, internal ambient lighting, folding mirrors and parking sensors. The front seats are electrically adjustable and the rear are lounge like. Interior is in good condition with some patination.
There is a spare donut wheel in the boot along with the original jack and safety equipment. The manuals and leather wallet are present. There is also a bundle of work receipts available.
Recent full service (2024), new O2 sensors, new drive belt, recent fuel pump, matching quality tyres, MOT to April 2025.
The car has been looked after and regularly serviced by a local independent Mercedes Specialist. Included in the sale are 6 new Mercedes OEM spark plugs.
The paint has blemishes and scratches; these are not obviously visible until you start looking.
The windscreen has a couple of stone chips, these were addressed by a windscreen repair company (via insurance) but are still visible.
In June 2024 the car was damaged (front drivers side) in a car-park hit and run. The paint damage is visible (see photo), and a parking sensor has been dislodged.
There is some minor damage to the pocket on the rear of the drivers seat, caused by my children's feet when they were small.
Lastly the car has an intermittent issue with an exhaust cam that causes the EML to light. It has so far sorted itself out within a few days and the light goes off. I have had it checked by the Mercedes Specialist and, whilst it should be addressed, it is not causing any harm to the car.
To the best of my knowledge, and following an inspection of the car by the Mercedes Specialist, there are no other known issues that affect the safety or reliability. This is a beautiful and well equipped car that has served me and my family faithfully for the past 9 years.
Driven daily and, for a 17 year old car, it drives great. It is smooth, refined, quiet, safe, powerful and very comfortable. It is blissful over long distances.
I don't really want to sell it but I now need a car that seats 5 people and regrettably I don't have the space to keep this one. The sentimental value of this car to me is off the scale!
It is a lot of car for the money, really classy and definitely a future classic (IMO).
