Description
The car was first registered on 28th November 1956 and must have been on the the first few 100/ 6s to come off the production line since the new model was only announced end of September 1956. The car is special bodied. One of the previous owner told me, that its a Falcon Body, but having done some amount of research, I am not certain whether this is actually the case. The whole body is fiberglass apart from the bonnet which is a standard steel 100/ 6 bonnet with the 100/ 6 specific crease down the middle. No other examples of this Healey with its special body are thought to exist.
The car is in need of restauration an is currently missing a number of components, namely the bonnet hinges, steering column and tracking arm, exhaust system and manifolds, seats and the majority of the interior. Although the car has been in storage for a long time, the engine turns an the gearbox, overdrive, rear axle, suspension, wire wheels and brakes, all look in reasonable condition. The chassis itself looks to be in quite good condition with just some surface rust in places. Unfortunately at some point a section of the body at the front of the car has been cut out to get at the steering column. The dash board does not appear to be a standard Healey dash and the windscreen is cracked, but i think this is a standard Healey unit. Current V5C is present. No cheques, no trade in, the car will not be released until the funds for the balnace have cleared or full payment has been made in cash. The car has been exported to Germany prior Brexit. Unique Austin Healey 100/ 6 with special body, maybe a prototype.
