Description
Beautiful fully restored BSA Bantam D1 Plunger, all paintwork is 2-pack gloss black, all chrome parts are original and unmarked, engine has been fully rebuilt and run-in last summer, all fixings and bolts replaced with stainless steel, replica Wipac rear light with LED stop/ tail lamp fitted for MOT, headlamp has uprated halogen main lamp and LED pilot/ running light bulb, also has an electric horn fitted, lights and horn are powered by a sealed lead-acid rechargeable 12 volt battery concealed in the tool box and recharged via a mains 'optimiser) type plug in charger when in the garage, all bearings and seals etc were replaced with new as this was a no expense spared restoration, she has already been awarded a rosette for best small british bike at a show last summer and i'm sure will win more if that's your thing! rides like a new bike and starts easily too!
Speedo works as it should, mileage approx 16000 showing.
also worth mentioning that she has a slight oil leak from the joint in the two halves of engine casing underneath but only one or two drips a week -(pretty normal for vintage British bikes) drip tray supplied!
also inlcuded in the sale will be a pair of chrome tank seam trims that i've not had time to fit yet and some classic 20/ 50 motor oil for the gearbox
the engine number is different from number on V5 but i think it's £25 for an amended V5, never bothered me, also the original reg number was 130 EXC and changed to 259YUA sometime between 2011 and 2015, not sure why as i bought it in 2015 but i have previous MOT's with bot Reg numbers.
This bike may be the best of this type in the country or even the world!!.. but if your looking for 'patina' she's probably not for you! ;-)
any questions please ask, cash on collection or cleared funds in bank only, i can deliver in person upto 50 miles from basingstoke for £1 per mile
