Full service history (Audi, Specialist, Independent)
Bought by me in November 2003 with 140k on the clock. Used daily until 2010. Dry stored and SORN'd until late 2016.
This car has had everything it ever needed doing to it undertaken to keep it mechanically sound. It has never let me down. The legendary 170bph 20v 7A engine which pulls like a train when asked to. Lots of work done in my ownership to keep it mechanically A1 (come and see the file), and the previous owner was equally anal about keeping this beast sweet and true. Clutch replaced by Audi (Slough) in 2004.
Work recently undertaken includes: breather hose; timing gear; water pump, power steering mounts, alternator, cambelt, new bulbs, fluid changes, battery (still in warranty), reconditioned heater matrix, thermal fuse, 2 x front tyres, rear caliper (offside), brake compensator unit, top mount, bearings (rear offside), front brake hoses, exhaust welded.
As with any 27 year old classic there are a few signs of wear. A falling branch hit me in 2005 coming out of Truro (I'll never go back...) and dented the n/ s wing (not massively) and inflicted a bit of paint damage on the wing mirror. Some of the lacquer is peeling (it was doing so when I bought it in 2003). There are some minor scrapes to the rear spoiler. A section of the fuel pipes had to be removed (corroded) - they are not available OEM so need a specialist job to replace, but have been splined with hosing by Challenge Motor co. Cheltenham and are absolutely fine and ok for MOT. Sunroof seal needs replacing - occasional water ingress. LED dash clock stopped working years ago. Accelerator pedal missing the footplate (broken off by an Audi mechanic...). Rust beginning to show on n/ s front wing (so this and dent easily resolved by a simple swap with a replacement). Stereo not working and not had time (or inclination) to sort. I've removed the o/ s lower door mould as it had flared (complete sets available from Germany on ebay). The odometer stopped working at 187, 065 miles (March, 2017). Since then I have done (from Gloucester) a run to Oxford, Hull, Evesham and a few short trips to Tewkesbury (so from my address, this adds approx 1500 miles to the current mileage). Speedo is fine as is rev counter, so likely to be the plastic gearing inside the cluster (common on Audi 80s of this age).

This is a superb motor and has been extremely well taken care of its entire life. The history file includes the purchase note and other receipts.
A change of circumstances means I've have had to move it out of dry storage. This is a classic car and is in original condition.
