We are delighted to offer for sale an icon of Italian motoring: the Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Spider, year 1964. This model, called the 101. 23 series, was introduced in 1962 as an evolution of the famous Giulietta Spider series 101. 03. Although aesthetically similar, the Giulia 1600 Spider features some distinctive changes: the air intake on the bonnet, the larger tail lights and the '1600' lettering on the tail. Further differences can be seen in the interior, such as the three-spoke steering wheel and different instrument graphics. Produced between 1962 and 1965, the Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Spider was made in only 9, 250 examples, of which only 400 were right-hand drive. This car had red bodywork, black leather upholstery, red carpeting and a black canvas soft top to match. The engine was an AR00112 type, an in-line four-cylinder with 1570 cc and 91 hp. It has a five-speed manual synchronised gearbox and front disc brakes. The car was fully restored, to the limit of manicism, by the previous owner a few years ago; three photo albums documenting every stage of the work are provided to support this.
