For sale here is a beautiful 1956 MGA 1500 convertible. Original UK car. The car was owned by a good friend of ours who decided to restore the car but that was 12 years ago !! somewhat stalled restoration that we have now just about completed. The body was removed and any corrosion was removed by replacing with new panels. Whilst the body was off the chassis was powder coated and all the bits such as suspension, steering, brake lines, wiring harness etc etc were replaced. The engine was rebuilt including pistons, bearings, rings etc. The head was also overhauled and new hardened valve seats were installed so the car can run on modern unleaded fuel. The interior has been treated to new seats, carpets, soft top and side screens. The paint although done over 10 years ago still has a deep shine and finish. With being stored for almost 10 years there is the odd little niggle such as the chrome in places is showing wear not much but not as fresh as new. The car has probably done less than 20 miles since the restoration was finished. Before the sale there are a couple of minor jobs still to be done and we will send it in to our local classic mechanic to give it a full check from front to back and although not required it will come with a fresh 12 month MoT.
