Description
In 1996, after more than 20 years, the XJ-S was replaced by the XK as Jaguar's flagship model. The top version, the XKR, was fitted with an Eaton supercharger as a ventilation aid. The last examples of the X100 series and, as here, the new X150 were already equipped with the improved 4. 2 litre V8. This ensures smoother running and more power. With the newer AJ-34 engine, the well-known chain tensioner problem was no longer an issue. A better ZF automatic gearbox with 6 instead of 5 gears also provided the power transmission. It was to be the last XK before it was replaced by the smaller F-Type. This is an XKR with the supercharged 4. 2 litre engine and 420 hp. This V8 is without doubt Jaguar's best and most sophisticated 8-cylinder engine. The car was first delivered in Switzerland and has been regularly maintained by a Jaguar garage, which has owned the car for several years. A top-equipped car in very well-kept condition and an elegant colour combination. The car is very sporty and comfortable to drive at the same time. The V8 provides the right background noise. * Trade-in possible*
