Description
The "Little Nine" is a family car produced by the British Standard Motor Company between 1930 and 1933. It was the smallest in the range of cars offered by the company in the early 1930s, appearing after the demise of the Standard Teignmouth.
This 1933 Standard Little 9 was registered on the 24/ 4/ 1933 and was supplied by Jackson Bros in Horsham, West Sussex.
Mechanically the car is very good and there is a large list of items that have been replaced in the last few years. It starts, runs and handles very well. It has been fitted with a new 12V battery as well as new king pins and a reconditioned SU carburettor. The brakes do work perfectly although are what you would expect from a pre war car.
The body is in very good order with no corrosion - it has been restored at some point and has now mellowed nicely with a lot of character. The interior is in good order and, on the whole, it is original although the head lining has been replaced as well as the matching carpets.
If you are looking for an honest, usable car then this is for you.
Car is complete with a large amount of paperwork and history including the current V5.
