Description
The Jaguar E-Type was introduced in 1961 as the successor to the XK 150. It was released as a 2-seat coupe and also in 2-seat convertible version. A 2+2 coupe version also followed from 1966. The E-Type featured independent suspension and power disc brakes on all wheels. Surely that was unique at the time. The basic motorization was a 3. 8-liter inline six-cylinder, but there was also the more powerful 4. 2-liter engine. This one also had more comfortable seats and improved brakes.
From 1969 to 1971, Series 2 were then built with headlights without the double glass cover to prevent condensation. There were also improvements to engine cooling, brakes and the tail lights were also modified.
