1983 Ford Escort Bantam Pickup. This is a genuine Ford Built Bantam pickup based on the Mk3 Escort and was only available in South Africa. Its RHD and has recently been imported. All tax and duty has been paid and the NOVA registration has been done. We will assist you with the paperwork for the UK registration.
Body - Ford built Bantam pickup. Very solid having spent its life in sunny south Africa. Good battery tray, inner wings, rear bed, doors, sills. Pretty much solid everywhere. Paint is ok but a bit worn as this was a working truck. Bit bubbling on nsr pillar an both door bottoms look swollen in the corners and need looking at.. Perfectly useable as it is but if you wanted a show car it would need some paint.
Mechanics - 1600 CVH. Car starts , runs and drives and sounds decent. All standard suspension and drivetrain. As with any old car will need a good checkover before blasting down the local B Road. We have ordered a rear gearbox mount for it which will be fitted when it arrives.
Interior - Dash is good. This is the hard type dash. Seats and door cards look to have been retrimmed and are fairly tidy.
Wheels - Mint 14" cosworthstyle wheels with new tyres.
