We are very pleased to offer this fantastic 1974 Austin Mini 1000cc. Finished in what is arguably one of best Mini colours, the very sexy Teal blue and enhanced with a set of Minilite wheels. Less is more with subtle seventies styling. It has only covered 49k in 50 years and is accompanied with a service history folder. This is a genuine MK3 Mini, with all its correct numbers, FE number, body tag and commission number. It was first registered on the 1st of January 1974 to a Mrs Mavis Booth of Blackpool, its accompanied by its original bill of sale. Supplied by Skippool garage with the option of Dinitrol rust proofing which has really done its job very well indeed, all for the grand total of £954. 00.
Genuine Mk3 Minis are very collectable, and make an excellent Classic proposition. They offer the pure Mini driving experience with the right levels of evolution over the earlier cars that make them very easy to use on modern roads and more than capable of keeping up with modern traffic. On the road this Mini is a super slice of seventies nostalgia, the original engine is very quiet and holds a very healthy oil pressure and produces lively performance. It also has electronic ignition so she just starts on the key instantly. The gearbox is also very smooth. Its a great Mini to drive and you just cant help but smile. I am of course very biased as I just love a seventies Mini but I am sure whoever drives this gem will also fall in love.
The interior is very well presented and has benefitted from retrimmed front and rear seats, new matching door cards, dash liner and carpets. The original three clock binnacle is all present and correct as is the early toggle switch panel for wipers and head lights. It has the correct Mk3 steering column and and a sports steering wheel.
The Mini has a very solid shell with the correct vented sills, body coloured floor pans and untouched boot floor. The engine bay has been detailed to a high standard and the paint is well presented, not perfect but very good and easily capable of holding its own at any event. What it does best though is drive.
The Mini has been fully checked, driven, serviced and tuned. It also has a full MOT and is of course MOT and Tax exempt.
