This particular model lasted just a year in production from 1970 until 1971 making this version of the K1 one of the very last on the production run, A rare example with none showing 'registered' or 'sorn' within the UK data obtained from how many left on the internet. Classed as the first Superbike of its time along with being the first motorcycle to have a Disc brake along with both an electric and manual kick start. EXTERNAL
Finished in the legendary Honda Candy Gold glossy paintwork finished to a very high original standard, With a tubular steel duplex cradle with non-adjustable front forks. Along with preload adjustable rear shocks and swing arm, With correct period features and fittings along with the chrome work gleaming from the four into one branch exhaust to the rear view mirrors, Originality has been maintained from factory with the original cast mould engine 1092282 along with matching frame number, All switchgear remains original and mark/ fade free, With an electric start push button and manual kick start options something which was a first back in the late sixties early seventies. The large padded black leather twin seat sits tall and in beautiful condition, Simply as good as the day it left the factory, This particular example has covered only 10262 miles since its restoration a few years ago, Testament to the quality paintwork holding up well along with only genuine Honda parts fitted. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Having period chrome wire wheels in the best of condition, Shod with a Continental nineteen inch tyre to the front which also has a single solid disc calliper brake, Drum brake to the rear wheel where you will also find a Continental 18. 6 tyre fitted, Both with ample tread and in the best of condition.
