The E90 series M3 was introduced and the successor to the infamous and notorious E46 M3. It had a tough act to follow, but exceeded all expectations. Today, these cars are rightfully considered modern classics due to their outstanding performance and drivability.
This particular example is one of the final E92 M3 iterations - the M3 Limited Edition 500. Limited to just 500 example, the Limited Edition 500 cars were available in blue, red or Mineral White, like our car here. They features upgraded dampers and BMW Individual interiors as standard, with Piano Black interior trim. The LE 500 also sports dark chrome tailpipes, high-gloss 'shadowline' exterior trim and 19-inch black gloss alloys.
This is a unique opportunity to acquire an incredibly low mileage M3 Limited Edition 500. This car has covered just 7, 624 miles from new. When the car was just a year old, it sustained accident damage to the driver’s side and was written off (Category D only). As such the car remained laid up until last year.
It was then purchased and professionally repaired by the previous owner and put back on the road. We have just carried out a major service on the car. This was its first service given the mileage. Given how long the car had been sat, there were a few sensor issues that arose (warning lights etc.) but we have taken care of these and used the car over the past few weeks without issue. Before you ask - we do not have any photographs of the damage.
As you would expect the car is almost as new throughout. It still has that “new car smell”. If it wasn’t for the CAT D status, this would today be a £45, 000 car. Instead, this vehicle presents its new owner the opportunity to acquire a piece of M3 history for a fraction of the price.
