Unique 1959 Renault Dauphine, 27500 miles from new having spent most of its life in Renault dealership showrooms. It has been in my collection for the last 10 years in dehumidified dry storage, regularly started but little used.
Powered by an 845cc engine driving through a 3 speed gearbox, the car is lively and economical. Parts supply is good and there are plenty of classic Renault specialists mainly in France but also several UK enthusiasts and parts suppliers.
Paintwork is original with the exception of the bonnet, interior completely original and in excellent condition, chassis and floorpans sound and rot free, never welded, good original condition.
A very rare example assembled by Renault UK in England and bearing its original build plate on the rear parcel shelf.
Mechanically the car is excellent, it starts, runs and stops but will need a thorough service and checkover before use as it has not been on the road for over 10 years. The car requires transportation and cannot be driven away.
