We are very pleased to offer a fantastic slice of the eighties with this very original 1986 Mini Mayfair. Finished in metallic Moonraker blue with a sexy set of deep dish revolution wheels, chrome grille, bumpers and bullet mirrors. It has only covered 36k in 36 years with only 5 previous owners and is accompanied with its original handbooks, service book and a service receipt folder. It still has its original supplying dealer window sticker, Rubberys of Saltash in Cornwall and the matching key ring.
On the road this Mini drives very well, the low mileage 998 engine is smooth with a precise gearbox. It has a stage one kit fitted with a side exit RC40 exhaust which gives it a little more oomph and subtle sound. This model also has disc brakes and rear seat belts. Performance is brisk and thanks to 4 new wider profile tyres the handling is fantastic.
The interior is wonderfully preserved and in fantastic original condition. Light blue velour seats, blue dash and steering wheel. The carpets are original and the roof liner is basically unmarked. The original MW/ LW radio is present and correct and in full working order.
This Mini has a very solid shell and has the correct vented sills, original front wings, front panel and untouched boot floor. The floor pans are also body coloured. It appears to have all of its original panels. The paintwork is well presented and it belies its vintage and it has clearly been well cared for through its life. We have fully serviced, checked, tuned and driven this Mini and it has a full MOT and is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
