The Continental MK IV represented the pinnacle of luxury from Ford Motor Co. It was a car of status, that promised luxury, comfort, style and the ability to cover vast distances in refined euphoria! It’s hard to imagine a better way to cross the USA in 1974. The MK IV was highly rated in comparison to its contemporaries by the motoring press in the day.
With a very high top gear ratio (2. 75), the car is really long legged and can keep up with modern motorway traffic with ease in 2022. This is still a fabulous way to travel, surfing the wave of torque produced by that super smooth big block 460 motor (that is 7. 5 litres of Detroit double cream!)

Cam upgrade to increase low down torque
The following has gone into the engine rebuild:
New gaskets, lifters, flex plate, thermostat, oil pump, piston rings, cam shaft, cam bearings rod bearings, pump bush, main bearing set, exhaust manifold gaskets, timing chain & gears, core plugs, spark plugs, oil filter, rad cap, antifreeze
The following has been done to the transmission:
C6 Transmission, fully serviced, new seals, new transmission fluid
The following has been done to the brakes:
New front discs and calipers, new rear brake pads, new brake fluid
New dual exhaust.
New Tyres x 4 (Belgian made Uniroyals)
This car is superb to drive. She pulls like a train. You will be bewitched from behind the wheel!

I have the original hubcaps which are a flat, pancake design. Photo included. They are in good condition, but not to my liking. So I sourced a different set of Lincoln hubcaps which I think look better. The Buyer can choose which set they prefer.
Car will be released only upon receipt of cleared funds. I am not a dealer and do not offer part exchange.
