Description
Ford Fiesta Zetec-S (BE91 facelift model) 1. 6 twin cam, 112, 626 miles, first registered in September 2002. Black with red/ black interior. This is an unmolested, standard example of the legendary BE91, a real enthusiast’s car, known for its great handling and road holding.
This car has been in our family for ten years, with only one owner prior to us.
We acquired the car in 2012 with 76, 500 miles on the clock, since when, it has lacked for nothing in terms of servicing. For instance, in terms of oil services, it has had:
July 2012 oil & filter change at 76, 710 miles
May 2013 oil change at 80, 965 miles
April 2015 oil & filter change at 89, 659 miles
March 2017 oil & filter change at 96, 336 miles
December 2018 oil & filter change at 102, 734 miles
April 2021 oil change at 108966 miles
It had a new cambelt in July 2013 (at 81, 318 miles) and again in August 2021 at 110, 221 miles.
Last year it also had a new radiator and water pump, complete with hoses, thermostat, heater control valve, etc.
The car has a number of age-related blemishes and marks, mainly minor scuffs and scratches on the bumpers and doors. It also has a small amount of corrosion on the bottom edge of the hatchback. The wheels are in good condition with no damage, fitted with good condition Avon ZV7 tyres.
The car drives really well. In this standard 1. 6 litre form it is rated at 103bhp. Many Zetec-S’s have had Ford Puma 1. 7 engines swapped into them, taking them to 123bhp, which apparently makes them a real 205GTI competitor, but we have kept ours standard. A future classic, or a Puma project – the choice is yours.
