For sale 1988 F reg BMW 635CSI Highline in Delphin Grey metallic. The car runs perfectly, very smooth ride and through all gears. The highline model is equipped with full cream leather in really good condition, the back seats almost look like they’ve never been sat in, electric windows, electric seats. The car heaters and aircon work perfectly. Has a Pioneer radio/ cassette/ 10 disc CD changer with a newly fitted replacement retractable aerial.
The bodywork is as good as any you will find, finished in delphin grey with the original BMW pinstripe coachlines along the sides. The paintwork you would not be disappointed in if you were buying a 3 year old car, let alone over 30+ with some tiny marks but not until you really go looking for them.
Comes on the original wheels with TRX tyres unlike many for sale, and with a full MOT, next due 30th January 2023.
The mileage is 165, 000 equating to approx 4k a year and has been well maintained throughout.
There is more history with this car than any I have ever owned, and as such I had trouble taking a photo of it all whilst hiding names and addresses on there as there are dozens of letters written to BMW from the original owner for every bit of work he wanted done, and copies of their replies. It is a full box folder of all history to go through and have an interesting read if you have a spare couple of hours, and the car comes with three keys.
I would be very surprised if it had not been garaged by every one of the 5 previous owners since new, judging by the character shown in the letters of the original purchaser, the length of time he had it, and that since then it would have been viewed as a great condition example of a classic and maintained accordingly. The condition of the bodywork attests to this and it would certainly be one of the best examples in the country.
The bad points are that the drivers electric window lowers normally but closes very slowly now, I close it with multiple short pushes of the button and now try to avoid using it in case it were to stop working.
The passenger rubber window seal (pictured) has split and should need to be replaced however it doesn’t leak.
Any questions please ask, the numberplate will be removed and the original will be sold with the car, also the same year (pictured, F568 KGC). Located in Worthing, West Sussex.
