This lovely car has been in my ownership for 20 years, having been purchased from vw motor services in Bath with only one previous owner. It has been a comfortable, robust and reliable vehicle and has consistently delivered 36. 8mpg, which is better than the published manufacturer’s figures. It has always been garaged, is mechanically sound and still has excellent acceleration and good
reliability. Cam and auxiliary belts and front brakes replaced at 95k. Service history available. It has an excellent and comfortable interior but a few areas of bodywork need some tlc to bring it up to potential classic car status, especially as the GL version of the Golf Estate is now rare and much sort after. It remains in regular use but i now have no need for a second car.
