Beschreibung
1977 Triumph Stag in Tahiti Blue, with Black Ambla trim, in very good condition with a freshly rebuilt engine.
The body was subject to a full restoration by The Stag Workshop of Poole in May 2013, being repainted in the original colour of Tahiti Blue, complete with a new hood. A Radiomobile 1095 with iPod adaptor supplied by Walmsley Classics, and a Sterling engine immobiliser were fitted.
The car has been maintained on a no cost spared basis since, serviced every year regardless of mileage. Although exempt from MoT tests the car has been MoT inspected every year, with the current MoT expiring in September 2021.
In April 2020, the Triumph 3 Litre V8 engine was comprehensively rebuilt by Robsport International Ltd, including reconditioned carburettors, a new clutch, and a new battery. A Supergill radiator was supplied by E J Ward in 2019.
The rear bumper quarter sections need re-chroming and there are one or two small paint defects to the driver’s door. Otherwise, the body restore has held up remarkably well, and the hood is still in a very good condition. There is no hard-top.
Judging by the large history file, with old MoT certificates and some bills dating back to 1982, the current recorded mileage of 87, 250 may well be correct. Seven former keepers, I have owned the car since May 2013. There is a Heritage Certificate on file dated April 1997, and an agreed insurance valuation £18, 000.
The car has no mechanical issues, only 1, 000 miles have been covered since the engine rebuild, and it drives extremely well.
