The buggy was built as a turnkey buggy by ‘Flatlands Engineering’ – One of the best buggy builders. It was built in June 2006 at a cost of over £14k with a 1776cc engine, but since has had thousands spent on it including a more powerful 2165cc engine built by Dan Simpson, Full hood built by Whiffs Trimming, Red 9 Design wishbone front end and full bespoke leather interior.
It has been to many shows and won many awards. Was the front cover and featured vehicle in Volksworld October 2007.
Chassis
1968 shortened chassis for a prowler body, Red 9 Design front beam fully adjustable with spax shocks 1200 pound, GAZ rear shocks CSP strut brace bars, Side pods. Gold metal flake – looks amazing in the sun. Full mohair hood by Whiffs.
Engine
2165 stoker engine 5. 5 beam rods, 8 dowel lighten flywheel, Kennedy stage clutch, ally crankcase bored 94mm stoker clearance f/ f oil mahle 94mm stoker barrel/ piston kit, eagle fk10 cam. Heads 42x37, 044 ultra mags, scp bolt on rocker covers, bug pack oil pump, 44m weber carbs and KN air filters with bmd pulley and pro street swing axle gearbox, BAS exhaust with twin bike cans, pertronix billet disy 2, flamethrower 2 black coil and leads.
Wheels
Centre lines 10 inch back 275/ 60/ 15 front 195/ 60/ 15 with copper cobra all good, front disks and drums at back.
All receipts, trophies, copy of Volksworld cover etc.
Will be Road taxed and MOTed for the buyer.
Buggy Mileage over 5000 – about 3500 on new engine.
Has to be seen to be believed, has to be heard and driven to really experience.
Only selling as due to fall I can no longer drive the buggy.
