The Appeal
Representing the pinnacle of Citroën's technical expertise and Robert Opron's aerodynamic styling, the CX was arguably the most advanced, stylish, sophisticated and comfortable car money could buy. And none more so than this CX - a highly specified long-wheelbase 'Prestige' model with a 2.5-litre direct-injection turbocharged engine, ABS brakes, not to mention hydropneumatic suspension, DIRAVI power steering fitted to all CX models.
Originally supplied to the UK in right-hand drive, this would be one of six right-hand drive CX 25 Prestige Turbos built by Citroën in 1986 and 1987. Five remain known, and this is the only one in Neptune Grey.
The seller tells us:
Sold new in the UK, the first owner was an architectural firm near Liverpool, while the second owner was an engineer, also based in Liverpool. The car was sold new, serviced, traded in, resold and then serviced again until 2001 by Greenfens of Ainsdale, a Citroen dealer near Liverpool.
Since 1987 there have been three keepers and a total of 149,400 miles covered. The CX has been meticulously maintained since 1992, and there are numerous service records, both in the UK and France, as well as the original owner's manual and service guide. The CX has been maintained regardless of cost and underwent a full and detailed body restoration in 2011.
It's a fast, reliable, comfortable and extremely rare classic - true long-legged elegance.

Kindly advise whether the car has French or UK registration and if the latter, whether it maybe registered in France with or without paying French import tax/VAT.

sellerThe car has French registration, there would be no import tax/VAT to keep it French-registered.

Here's another thing that may help you: the sale doesn't start until the 15th, so you have plenty of time to have the CT carried out, which will reassure everyone. You can add a photo of this CT.CDLT

the roadworthiness test less than 6 months old is not provided, so...which is worrying...When you want to reassure a potential buyer THE FIRST THING to provide is a recent roadworthiness test....Is this just an oversight? Thank you

I'd like to add that I'm French, that I have a lot of cars, that I change them often and that I know the regulations perfectly well...
