The Appeal
Positioned squarely as the United Kingdom’s best-selling car through the ‘70s, the Mk.3 Ford Cortina has found great success and a huge cult following. Developed in the late ‘60s, the third-generation car was destined for greatness, as it was expected to be produced in much higher volume than its predecessors, thanks to a recent merger of Ford of Britian with Ford of Germany, into the moder-day fort of Europe as it is today. With a plethora of updates and changes from the Mk.2 Cortina, the Mk.3 sported double A-arm suspension as opposed to the previous MacPherson strut suspension, and it was notably wider, safer, and quieter as well.
This particular example is in stunning condition, as a result from the current owner’s restoration project over two years, starting right after it was purchased as a partly-stripped project in 2016. Garage kept and remaining well maintained, this Mk.3 is shining bright and is fully ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
