The Appeal

Alan Fraser’s ability to cut through the race field like a blast of wind earned him an obvious nickname: Little Hurricane. Perhaps no surprise, then, that he chose to campaign a tiny Hillman Imp.
Fraser was impressed by the Imp and wanted to prove it could outclass the Mini Cooper. He evolved a car that was surprisingly close to the factory example - proving how good that was - and finished in a fetching blue and white livery. It worked: within eight months he had a race-winning car.
This is the only car built to that classic Alan Fraser specification and aesthetics. It even has his ‘34’ number. To underline the provenance, the car has been certified by Alan.
Beyond the evocative historical connection, this car has been upgraded to meet the latest championship regulations for Imp racing. The result is a race winner in the BARC Classic Touring Car Championship Pre-66
As a road-registered car this hugely entertaining Imp would suit track day enthusiasts, would-be racers or weekend B road banzais.
