NSXUK Ltd

This is a 1993 Honda NSX Type-R (number 44 out of 482). It is one of only four in the UK.

The car was supplied new in Japan and was kept by the first owner until 2000. It was then sold to an Australian collector, living in Japan. In 2016 it was exported to Malaysia, owned by a friend of NSXUK. It was imported to the UK by ourselves in October 2018.

We then completed a complete ...

This pristine example has covered just 10, 486 miles and benefits from its most recent service at DK Engineering in October 2021, less than 100 miles ago. DK were instructed to service the car and fix any fault, however minor. The result is a car that is not only cosmetically superb (as you would expect from such a low mileage car) but mechanically perfect too – having benefited from a recent service, ...

THIS CAR HAS NOW SOLD BUT PLEASE GET IN TOUCH IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY OR SELL AN NSX

From time to time, a really well maintained NSX comes back to us to sell. It’s nice for the owner: whilst it’s hard to part with their treasured possession, they can be assured it will go to a good home for the next owner to enjoy. It’s good for us: we don’t have to do much - apart from our NSX-specific ...

This car is one of the best NSXs we have ever driven. Supplied new by Phoenix Honda , this car was first registered on 25th March 2000. It is one of only 11 NSXs sold in the UK that year. What was the great UK car-buying public thinking? Why was everyone queuing up for a Ferrari or a Porsche when one of the best cars ever was being largely ignored?

Well, that’s all history now and ...

William Morris once said, “have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” For me, this extends to the garage.

Firstly, I’ve never understood people who invest in classic cars with no intention of using them. What really matters to me is that “I know it to be useful.”…that it can be used. I’m not going to buy a Porsche 991 GT3 ...

When first released the NSX was ahead of its time. The NSX combines build quality, reliability, durability and everyday drivability. The aluminium body is beautiful. It’s a classic you can own, take out for a drive whenever you like and not worry about it breaking down or deteriorating.

It took many years for Honda to improve on it – but this was it. The facelift car has better ...

When Telsa created the extra performance version of the already fast and comfortable Model-X, their marketing department decided to call it “Ludicrous”.

Back in 2005, Mercedes would never have thought of that, let alone seriously considering it as an official moniker. But they were selling a car that will never be repeated. The Mercedes Benz R230 SL65 AMG.

If you feel ...

I can’t remember how or why, but I used to buy Car magazine every month even before I had a driving licence. In the late seventies, edited by Doug Blain, it had an irreverent, intelligent style and the writing of LJK Setright, Mel Nichols and Andrew Frankel changed my life.

They pioneered the ‘drive story’. Now every car review and Top Gear feature is based on this format, but ...

Back in the stone age, as humans were crawling out of cave dwellings and Margaret Thatcher was de-regulating the financial markets (about 1983), the epitome of cool was a Ferrari or Lamborghini with the loudest exhaust possible. How times have changed.

Now, to be cool you need to be electric. Or hybrid as a minimum. Especially if, like me, you have kids that will disown you if you come ...

Why does a figure-skater spin faster when she pulls her arms in? (or he, of course, but I can only think of Robin Cousins.)

Why, in 1994, was the 968 Club Sport the best handling car Porsche had ever made?

Well, the answer is the same. It’s about moment of inertia and conservation of rotational momentum.

Or, to put it another way, things with all the weight ...

Firstly, a few words about the Targa: When it was first released in 1995, Road & Track magazine said "The NSX looks so entirely natural with a Targa top that it's hard to believe it hasn't always had one". Often criticized by people who have never driven one, it has been suggested that the ...

Here’s an admission: My favourite bit of Spa Francochamps isn’t on the circuit at all: It’s the La Source Hotel. But something always worries me when I’m there: All the Porsche GT3 RSs in the car park.

Who are the owners? Are they:

A) So good at driving that they never make a mistake;

B) So vain that they take their cars round slowly just so they ...
