Picture of 1973 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE IV - RECENTLY RESTORED, VERY PRETTY! - SOLD

A REALLY pretty 1973 Triumph Spitfire Mark IV in red. Restored recently over a couple of years by an enthusiast. Superb looker with matching hard top (also soft top). Re-trimmed interior, lovely dash and a very nice drive.

The Mark IV saw the Spitfire feature the 1300cc engine for the last time during its run and it's the unit favoured by many drivers of these fine British sports ...

Picture of 1970 WOLSELEY 18/85 - VERY PRETTY LUXURY LANDCRAB! - SOLD

THIS is my 1970 Wolseley 18/ 85, a top of the range front wheel drive "Landcrab."

Highly sought after these days, these luxury cruisers are such comfortable and roomy cars and offer an excellent alternative to the more traditional rear wheel drive cars of that era.

She has excellent paintwork which is well capable of carrying off a deep sheen and an extremely pleasant interior. ...

Picture of 1969 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE MARK 3 - THE PRETTY MODEL! MUCH LOVED! - SOLD

THIS is my 1969 Mark 3 Spitfire which, in my opinion, has always been the prettiest of the entire Spitfire range. It's those "teddy bear ear" rear lights, the bucket seats, the central wooden dash, push door handles, raised front bumper etc etc and of course the first of the range to be given the 1300cc engine.

Anyway, beauty is in the eye of the beholder Offered here, at bargain ...

Picture of 1961 AUSTIN A40 COUNTRYMAN MARK 1 - MEGA RARE MODEL! - SOLD

THIS is my ultra-rare Austin A40 Countryman Mark 1. She is a 1961 model.

Mark 1 A40s are rare enough birds in their own right and instantly recognisable by their wavy grille, their headlight designs and their interiors which, on early ones, featured the speedo pod left over from production of the Austin A35!

But to make this car even more sought after, she is the Countryman. ...

Picture of 1970 TRIUMPH VITESSE CONVERTIBLE - REBUILT 5 YEARS AGO! - SOLD

THIS is my 1970 Triumph Vitesse convertible which was totally rebuilt around five years ago having been found in a really bad state. The vehicle was stripped back to the bare chassis and rebuilt with fresh metal/ panels being used. A glance underneath shows the chassis perfectly clean, tidy and painted black while the underside of the body tub matches the vehicle's exterior. The engine was taken ...

Picture of 1970 TRIUMPH HERALD CONVERTIBLE - WHAT A GREAT SUMMER BUY! - SOLD

THIS is my 1970 Triumph Herald 13/ 60 factory built convertible with the correct cv chassis number. She underwent a full restoration sone time ago back in the mid-90s and there is a large photo file within the car's history to back this up. It would appear she has not enjoyed much in the way of regular use in recent years and was found stored in a garage in Northumberland. She drives well and ...

Picture of 1973 MGB ROADSTER - PROBABLY BEST BARGAIN EXAMPLE AVAILABLE! - SOLD

THIS is my 1973 MGB chrome bumpered roadster. Firstly, my apologies, as try as I might I cannot get red cars to look red with my camera. I need more lessons! She has no hint of light red or orange whatsoever. She is red. Red as a tomato!

Price-wise, I would suggest she is arguably the best buy out there when it comes to early 70s B roadsters. As ever, my cars are offered to the public ...

Picture of 1950 WOLSELEY 6/80 - RARE EARLY MODEL, LOVELY LOOKS & DRIVE! - SOLD

THIS beautiful 1950 Wolseley 6/ 80 was - back in 1988 the subject of a tooth and nail battle between the Wolseley 6/ 80 Club and DVLA. The struggle came about due to the fact that this delightful old girl had been off the road for many a long year and it was proving a struggle to "regain" her original registration which was a Sheffield plate MWE 565.

The DVLA was right on the brink of ...

Picture of 1963 VAUXHALL VX 4/90 - LOVELY SPORTS SALOON, RARELY OFFERED - SOLD

THIS is my 1963 Vauxhall VX 4/ 90 and, being a December 1963 model, it comes with the larger 1600cc twin-carb engine as opposed to the earlier 1500.

These 1960s sports saloons are highly sought after. They knock out 71 bhp from that twin carb, alloy head engine and feature many upgrades compared to the basic Victor FB. Different rear light clusters, side stripe, different chrome work ...

Picture of 1968 DAIMLER SOVEREIGN 420 - BARN FIND, PROPER SWEENEY CAR! - SOLD

YOU instinctively start whistling The Sweeney theme tune when you see this "Jag." Or at least I do anyway.

It's the Daimler Sovereign version of the Jaguar 420, dry stored for many a year and with the last owner for 42 years! All the same, when you see that rear end, you can just imagine it swinging around the streets of London in front of the TV cameras at about 6am. Regan and Carter ...

Picture of 1964 HUMBER SUPER SNIPE IV - TOTAL LUXURY, ENGINE REBUILT. - SOLD

RARELY seen offered for sale these days, here is my 1964 Hunber Super Snipe. Top of the range Rootes Group luxury barge, oozing class with its opulent interior of leather and walnut. In very good order and also she had an engine rebuild around 2007 and has done very little mileage since. No doubt, hence the ultra smooth 3 litre straight-6 engine!

A real imposing classic with auto box ...

Picture of 1965 MORRIS OXFORD ESTATE - HOW RARE?? PRETTY & PRACTICAL! - SOLD

WELL, well. A Morris Oxford estate. I seem to remember as a car-mad youngster that the estate versions of the Oxford and Cambridge Farina models were pretty scarce indeed. You can imagine how rare they must be nowadays!

This old girl is a 1965 model in mid green with a black roof. She really does stand out from the crowd as well as making an excellent load carrying alternative to classic ...

HERE is my 1966 Hillman Minx Series VI, the very last of the "Audax" designed Minx. Also, the only one to be given the tried and tested Rootes Group 1725cc engine. The previous model, the Minx V still carried the basic 1600cc. She is in delightful order, both inside and out. Great underneath, in the engine bay and also in her interior. Red seats, excellent original (I would say) head lining and original ...

DEPOSIT TAKEN!!!!!!!!!!

HERE IS my 1957 Sunbeam Supreme, which was the final model of the previously named Sunbeam Talbots Mark 1 and 2. The previous owner kept her for 48 years from 1973 until recently.

And, until around 12 or so years ago, he was using her frequently and with immense confidence - often taking the old girl on runs to France! He also tells us via the car's ...

Picture of 1975 MGB ROADSTER - SO PRETTY, HARVEST GOLD, SUPERB DRIVER! - SOLD

NOT too many years ago, rubber bumpered MGB Roadsters seemed to be all over the classic car listings. Not so now. I believe that so many people find them eminently enjoyable and for so much less money than a corresponding condition model pre-1975 and therefore with chrome bumpers.

Look around for yourself - on this very site for starters - they do not change hands anything like they used ...
