The Appeal
The SL63 is the car that lets you have your cake and all the time you need to consume it. As quick as a supercar, as luxurious as an executive saloon and your choice of coupe or convertible depending on your mood and the weather.
These are brutally capable and exciting 510bhp cars. No surprise that they were used as pace cars for the 2008 and 2009 Formula One seasons.
Buying a good one is the key. One that has been clearly looked after and properly maintained. And sports a decent specification. Just like this one then.
Finished in bespoke Designo Graphite metallic, it is a desirable facelift R230 with a very high factory specification. Its first buyer clearly had taste because alongside that special-order paintwork you’ll find Ash Tree veneers, forged 19in AMG alloys and a glass panoramic roof.
The condition reflects its sparing use, handful of keepers and enthusiasm of its current owner. It is a low mileage car that has been serviced and maintained by main dealers and well regarded marque specialists. Recent work has included servicing, replacing ancillaries as needed and lightly improving the cosmetics. The condition is supported by a long MOT to June 2025.

“The powertrain is magnificent: the V8 is a thunderous, responsive hand-built AMG masterpiece, bellowing and gargling while pelting for the horizon with its horsepower. The short-ratio automatic gearbox is polite in the background and then sharp and obedient when you click the metal paddles. Dialling it up through Sport to Sport Plus pours quick-setting concrete into the dampers. This car is an experience to behold!
