The Appeal

While we enjoy a souped-up Defender sitting on shiny alloys and packed with quilted leather, it’s also refreshing to see them sporting a more basic, workmanlike specification. Land Rovers are built to work after all, so it gives us great pleasure to see them around the farmyard.
This Single-Cab 110 Pick-Up is very much “farmer spec” with its Limestone steel wheels, no-nonsense interior and versatile covered load bed. We understand that it was originally owned by TV’s Alan Titchmarsh, who had the Defender until 2017. In total, it has had just three registered keepers, covering a mere 86,084 miles.
Even Knightsbridge-dwelling Defenders seldom look this smart underneath, a testament to how well this Landy has been looked after over the years. The chassis appears immaculate for its age and the whole underbody area looks exceptionally clean. The “Birmabright” alloy bodywork looks very straight too, and the inside of the cabin has clearly been well-kept, boasting smart upholstery and rubber floor mats.
If you’re looking for a well-maintained Defender in a useful specification, it’s rare to find any half as good as this one.
