The range-topping 'Portfolio' was the ultimate version of the much-admired supercharged V8 XKR, developed by Jaguar's Special Vehicles team and performance braking experts Alcon for the 2008 model year.
We performance-obsessed petrolheads often gloss over braking performance, but it's worth remembering that the faster you can stop, the faster you can go. With Alcon onboard, the stopping power was immense - the most powerful brakes ever fitted to a Jaguar at the time of manufacture. The Portfolio also featured 20" BBS wheels, special colours, an engine-turned aluminium dashboard, special kick plates, an alloy gear shifter, Bowers & Wilkins audio and much more. This was a highly equipped car reserved for a select few.
