2007 Cadillac Cts Sport Luxury A

  • 1 of just 45 RHD original UK examples
  • Optioned with top-of-the-range V6 power and luxuries galore
  • ULEZ compliant

The Appeal

The result of a $4 billion investment, the CTS became the flagship model of the Cadillac brand at launch in 2003… General Motors answer to the German and British giants, which continued to set an increasingly high bar in the Premium Luxury saloon segment.
How many dash speed dials go up to 260mph?!
Produced until 2007, UK production numbers were no more than a trickle, as the Cadillac brand failed to infiltrate a market without a dealership network and no meaningful marketing campaign to promote their capable, luxury-packed cruiser. Reports indicate that there were as few as 45 RHD examples sold in the UK, meaning, if correct, that this really is a scarce sight on British roads.
With trusty, smooth power galore under the bonnet, distinctive design and opulent specification, there are lots of reasons why this car may well give you quite a considerable bang for your buck. This is a very well-presented, low-mile machine… Buy it for its hugely capable, useable credentials or tuck it away as an investment… we think that this could be a good bet as an appreciating motoring collectable.

The Condition

  • This is a car with a presence… The dark blue metallic paintwork suits the sharp lines well - smart inside, as well as out
  • There are a few chips, rubs and marks in places to the paintwork
  • Of note is a dink on the nearside rear wheel arch and the paint to the front of the bonnet is flatter than the bright shine on the rest of the car
  • A few small scratch touch-ins low on one of the doors and a light corner rub/small marks to the front bumper
  • The stone leather interior with perforated charcoal centre squabs is very elegant and delivers a sense of occasion when you enter the cabin
  • Beautiful wood and leather multi-function steering wheel greets the driver
  • Heated front seats have electric multi-position adjustment
  • Immaculate walnut-style veneers complete a first-class look to the dashboard
  • Headlining appears bright and free of scars. Bose speakers mounted on A-pillars add to the high-class detailing inside the cabin
  • Presentable carpets, protected by over-mats
  • Some of the entertainment system select buttons have signs of use
  • The tailgate has a rear-facing camera but no image came into view when we selected reverse
  • VIN and manufacture labels inside the door shuts look bright and original
  • Spec’d with 7-Spoke 18” alloy wheels - lacquer colour differentiation on the front wheels. Correct Cadillac wheel-centres
  • Shod with matching Michelin Primacy 4 tyres on all four corners (date marked 2019)
  • Boot area is cavernous and in good order. Locating plastic ring for the space-saver wheel spinner looks to be absent
  • Space Saver, jack and locking wheel nut box is present beneath the clean boot carpet
  • The underside of the vehicle looks free of any noteworthy damage or issues
  • 2 x Cadillac keys with original remote fobs
  • Starts instantly and settles into a steady tick-over. Selects gears confidently and without noise or fuss. Reported as a pleasure to drive

The Mechanics

  • 3.6-Litre V6 with Variable Valve Timing, producing 255bhp
  • 5-speed Automatic gearbox
  • The gearbox is reported to be smooth and fuss-free, with seamless transitions between gears
  • All under-bonnet areas look well presented, original and unmodified
  • Air-conditioning seems to be working efficiently (recent re-gas)
  • New battery
  • Dual exit exhaust
  • Power-assisted steering
