The Appeal
Mercedes-Benz’ discovery of the estate with the 1980s’ W123 led to a run of spacious load-luggers like this W211 V6.
This smart Obsidian Black E320 is quite a find. Supplied new to Japan it lived there, on its usefully salt-free roads, until early 2023 when it arrived here. That has kept the condition very high and the mileage low - it has covered less than 31,000 miles from new.
Then there is the specification. For many enthusiasts, this is the one to have, the M112-powered 3.2litre V6 in Avantgarde specification, which delivers decent power and economy with a healthy dose of luxury.
The car is reported to have full service history - although unfortunately records have been lost - and benefits from a £4,000 overhaul of the clever air suspension system in 2023. A long MOT to January 2025 with no structural or mechanical advisories underlines the provenance.
