With values of the highly regarded E46 M3 heading into the stratosphere, canny enthusiasts and reviewers are returning to the car pitched by BMW at the time as the next best thing - the lightweight 330 Clubsport.
As distinctive as an M3 - particularly in classic Estoril Blue as here - the Clubsport may not be quite as quick, but it is similarly agile and probably a good bit rarer. These cars were lightened, thanks to the removal of sound deadening, and trimmed with some choice M Division features including lowered sports suspension.
With its long, advisory-free MOT, this well kept 2005 Clubsport comes with a healthy history file of regular maintenance and presents in very good and usable condition. The E46 came at a sweet spot in BMW’s history - it is a great looking car and the Clubsport one of the best versions available.
