The Plus
In many ways, the Citroën Saxo is the quintessential 90s city car. It was a car that met a need for people of all types, from budding drivers in their 'sporty' VTR and VTS versions to super-economists who raved about the 3 litres/100 km of the 1.5 diesel.
For young and old alike, it was a car that had a lot to offer: cheap and fun to drive, but also comfortable and spacious, with a choice of three or five doors and a typically French character - a supple ride, coupled with surprising levels of grip.
It's no surprise, then, that the Saxo was Citroën's best-selling model from 1997 to 2003, evoking many nostalgic memories today among those of a certain age. And if you're reading this, you're probably one of them.
What we have here is a stunning Saxo - the most sought-after of them all. It's a 1.6 16v VTS - a real bomb on wheels - from late production and presented in remarkably well-preserved and unmodified condition. VTSs this original and well-preserved are very rare cars these days, making this a real find.
