The Appeal
In a crowded field, the E39 can lay claim to being one of, if not the, best saloon car of the 90s. Built at that sweet spot when driver engagement hadn’t been overtaken by nannying technology, good examples are both rewarding daily and cossetted classic.
The car’s sheer usability makes examples like this one a real find. It is a low mileage - under 77,000 miles - car with a great factory specification that includes Topaz Blue paintwork and M Sport trim. Best of all, it hasn’t been messed with. It presents today in impressive condition with few signs of its 22 years.
That sense of a well cared for car continues to the history file, which shows a run of regular servicing up to 76,554 miles in 2023. Recent work includes the all-important gearbox service plus attention to the suspension and replacement of the brake fluid. A long MOT to November 2025 with no advisories provides independent reassurance.
This is a well kept E39 with the sweet-spooling M54 straight six under the bonnet. They don’t come along as good as this very often.
