The Appeal
The gestation of Jaguar’s XJS replacement was a long time coming. First the firm spent 10 years trying to get it right then Aston Martin took the design to create the DB7. A new car had to be developed at lightning speed as new owners Ford cracked the whip.
And it was. The resultant X100 borrowed some oily bits from the XJS, so it rode as a Jaguar should, and it referenced the iconic E-Type, so it looks great too. Then there was the all-new 4litre V8 engine that offered unruffled rapid progress. When Jaguar added a supercharger to create the XKR it still offered unruffled progress, but much more rapidly.
This immaculate low mileage XKR has had just two owners and comes with full service history, mostly by Jaguar. Finished in classic British Racing Green it looks a very fine example of Jaguar’s very usable modern classic coupe.
